The snow is finally melting here in Minnesota! For home owners, now is the time to repair roofs and window wells that might result in leaking into your home. “Beginning April 22, 2010, federal law requires that contractors performing renovation, repair and painting projects that disturb more than six square feet of paint in homes, child care facilities, and schools built before 1978 must be certified and trained to follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.” (EPA, Lead Information Page)
Noblemen Homes is certified under the EPA’s Renovation, Repair, and Painting Protocol to test and remediate homes and buildings with lead based paint and other materials. If your home was built before 1978, there is a chance that your house may contain lead based paints and other materials. The EPA suggests hiring contractors who are trained and certified in lead removal to ensure the safety of your family.
